Microsoft PowerPoint (MS PowerPoint) is a presentation software developed by Microsoft, used to create slideshows that include text, images, charts, videos, and animations. It is widely used for business, education, and personal presentations.
How to Edit and
Format Pictures in MS PowerPoint
Once you insert a picture into a PowerPoint slide, you can edit,
enhance, and format it using built-in tools. Here’s how:
1. Select the
Picture
- Click on
the picture
you want to edit.
- The "Picture Format"
tab will appear at the top.
2. Resize,
Move, or Rotate the Picture
- Resize: Click and
drag the corner
handles to enlarge or shrink while maintaining aspect
ratio.
- Move: Click and
drag the picture to reposition it.
- Rotate: Use the circular arrow at
the top to rotate the image.
3. Crop the Picture
- Select the
image.
- Go to "Picture Format" →
"Crop".
- Drag the
black crop handles to cut out unwanted areas.
- Press Enter to apply.
5. Adjust Brightness, Contrast,
and Color
- Select the
picture.
- Click "Picture Format" →
"Corrections" for brightness & contrast
adjustments.
- Click "Color"
to apply color filters or change saturation.
6. Remove Background from a
Picture
- Select the
image.
- Click "Picture Format" →
"Remove Background".
- PowerPoint
will highlight the area to keep. Adjust the selection if needed.
- Click "Keep Changes"
to apply.
7. Add Borders and Frames
- Select the
picture.
- Click "Picture Format" →
"Picture Border".
- Choose a color, thickness, or style
for the border.
8. Compress or Reset a Picture
- To reduce file size,
click "Compress
Pictures" and choose lower resolution.
- To reset all edits, click "Reset Picture".
